How To Make A Quilted Makeup Bag

My own makeup bag was in need of some attending.  I don't habiliment a lot of makeup, hardly ever and a quick look inside my bag reveals congealed mascara, eyeshadow colors that haven't changed since the early on 90's and some supermarket brand lipsticks.

I practise take a couple of squeamish mineral foundation powders that I love and do wonders for my pare, but the rest needed to be sorted out and updated.  Information technology seemed the perfect time to throw out the old cosmetics bag and make myself a nice smart new i.  So hither is the Easy Cosmetics Handbag Pattern.

The one I designed and made is but a trivial bigger than the bag I already had so that it can conform all the new makeup goodies I am going to buy myself, besides every bit a few travel-sized bottles of shampoo and shower gel I can slip in when I go on vacation.

The bag is unproblematic, uses very little fabric (nearly 2/3rds of a fatty quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you lot like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the blueprint, cut out and stitch.  Simply quick and uncomplicated doesn't mean information technology's not awesome!

It's the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not only cosmetics and toiletries.  Keep all your pens and pencils in society, utilise information technology for a small-scale showtime assist kit for the auto, proceed it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.

At present my married man wants i as well for his shaving supplies and toiletries.  I'one thousand not sure I have the right fabric in my stash for him, but maybe something obviously and manly!

Skill level – beginner. If you've never sewn a bag before, this 1 is perfect for you lot!  It comes with a full step-by-stride video tutorial perfect for beginners.

Materials:

• Outer fabric – 14 x eighteen inches.
• Lining fabric – the same
• 9-inch zipper
• Interfacing/fleece of your choice
